Dave began his racing in 1969 in Margay kart competition through 1976 in Florida. During that time he was also a member of the United States Air Force as a fireman assigned
to the crash crew at Eglain Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach. After his service in the Air Force, Dave returned to his home state of Pennsylvania and became a member of the Hilldersburg Volunteer Fire Dept from 1978-1980. Continuing with his racing from 1981 to 1984, Dave raced Wing Sprints Cars on the dirt tracks of Trail-Way Speedway
and Lincoln Speedway. Dave has always
enjoyed open wheel competition and his
knowledge and passion for Karting led him
back to it. In 1999 he found himself behind
the wheel of a 100cc Champ Kart. He made
the move to Sr. Champ Kart racing in
2001
and has continued racing in that
division. Dave moved to Stoneypoint,
North Carolina in 2005 and started
racing at Stateline Speedway in
Lawsonville. In 2007 he won the
track championship in the Senior
Champ Kart division.
