United States Fire Department Racing team, USFD Racing was formed to honor the firemen of the United States and bring awareness to the many volunteer fire departments and rescue squads that depend on donations to assist them in maintaining the operation of their units. We are a race team using motorsports to bring awareness. We encourage people to look within their own community and nonprofit organizations that are in place if they would like to contribute. One of the ways we do this is working with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) is the leading nonprofit membership association representing the interests of the volunteer fire, EMS, and rescue services. The NVFC serves as the voice of the volunteer in the national arena and provides invaluable tools, resources, programs, and advocacy for first responders across the nation.

When I was a young driver competing at my local track, I suffered a major injury in a racing accident. The safety crew cut me out and successfully transported me to the hospital in time for major surgery resulting from a crushed right leg and a large loss of blood in the accident. I would not be alive today if it wasn't for the training and quick response of the rescue squad that attended the race that night. When I'm at a race track or just at a high school football game and I see the volunteers from a fire department or rescue squad volunteering their time, I appreciate it and I am more aware of their presence than most, because of the situation I experienced. Our goal is the efforts of the USFD Racing team will encourage others to take notice and be more aware that when we are competing in a sport or just everyday life, there is a group of people out there providing a service to us that we may not often recognize until we need to call upon them for their support.
